The journey into - Revival Art House - is an unforgettable experience. Stepping into this vibrant space in the heart of the Tangipahoa community sparks instant excitement. More than just an art venue, it serves as a lively hub of inspiration and collaboration with a Louisiana flare. My journey through Revival Art House has transformed my perspective on art and community, revealing opportunities I had never anticipated.

Upon the First Look

Entering Revival Art House, I immediately felt the pulse of creativity and southern charm in the air. The walls display striking artwork, and the rooms were filled with unique trinkets and household decor; it's all hand made! The atmosphere was very inviting and home-y, I was ready to spend all the time I could here.

As I explored the space, I could see the intricate styles and expressions of each unique artist; the gallery was filled with a plethora of selections and I guarantee every guest to find something that tailors to their likings.

A Place for Connection and Community in Tangipahoa

Revival Art House shines brightly as a community connector. It isn't just a creative space; it's a melting pot for people from all walks of life. During my time there, I was able to collect insight on how the store attains their beautiful artwork and how to purchase. Revival Art House contracts with hundreds of artists, mostly in Louisiana but even spanning into Mississippi. Hundreds of pieces a year are brought to the Tangipahoa Community through the Revival Art House, truly highlighting the artistic styles of creators in the south. They even offer classes to create, where you can make new friends create new experiences for yourself!

The Strawberry Room

Speaking of community, Revival Art House dedicates an entire room in the gallery to something that Tangipahoa Parrish holds dearly: strawberries! Ponchatoula prides itself in being the #1 producer of strawberries in Louisiana, and although they are not the strawberry capital of the world, they like to say they are. Shh, don't tell anyone it's not true! Because of the title they hold, the town is covered in strawberry art, and they wouldn't have it any other way. Not to mention, Tangipahoa Parrish holds the annual - Strawberry Festival - every year! This is a full weekend of everything strawberry, often featuring live music, rides, and food trucks. Local restaurants also often participate by featuring dishes that revolve around, you guessed it, strawberries! So, it only seems right that Revival Art House includes a room dedicated solely for something that brings the community so much pride.

Pricing and How It Works

If you were hoping to get some artwork off of your hands and into Revival's, whether something is just not your style anymore or your great, great grandma gave you something that just takes up room, this is not the place for you. Revival Art House Strictly works with contracted artists, who earn a commission on anything that is sold in the store. So, selling Revival the giant alligator statue that your great, great grandma gave you will not work.

As for pricing, if you are someone who has no budget on unique artwork that is sure to add value wherever you put it, this is the place for you. It goes without saying, I find, that handmade art will always have a higher price tag. As it should! These artists work very hard on their work and deserved to be paid for the time that goes into it. The smallest price tag I saw was $20, for a strawberry magnet. It went all the way up to $1,200 for the large, extravagant paintings on the walls. There were sculptures hanging from the ceiling that I'm sure were much more.

Importance of Buying Local

In todays time, people have lost value in handmade art. Everything is cheaply made and standardized to be able to ship anywhere in the world, for anyone to have. The special thing about - supporting local art - is that it not only is supporting local artists, but it offers you something unique and more than likely something that is one of a kind. This adds a tremendous amount of value to the artwork that you buy, so the price point is worth it!

My Experience in Conclusion

My experience at Revival Art House in Tangipahoa has been transformative. This place embodies creativity, connection, and inspiration. Through vibrant exhibitions, and learning about the artists, I have not only discovered my artistic side but also recognized the collective strength that art brings to our community.

If you find yourself in Tangipahoa, I warmly invite you to visit Revival Art House, and take advantage of their classes along with ready-to-buy art. Immerse yourself in the community's warmth, discover local talents,

and allow yourself to dream big.
